They only stay a newborn for a few weeks and then they have changed completely in their tiny features. A baby typically doubles in size by month four! This is why newborn photography is so important... to help our hearts remember that new baby.

What is included in newborn sessions?
Approximately 3 hours of baby led, custom newborn photography in my comfortable full-service boutique home studio Spring/Tomball area location.
Session styling is planned by photographer and parent(s) together using photographer's collection of props, designer newborn prop clothes, and accessories.
Newborn parents and siblings are included in a small part of the session and are welcome to be photographed at no additional fee.
Photographs in the final gallery will include images of baby with parents/siblings (optional but at no additional fee), baby in props, and baby on backdrops. Each newborn will also be photographed for close-up images of their tiny features (lips, ears, fingers/toes, tufts of hair, etc.)
A password protected proof gallery is included in the session and parents will receive the link by email within 14 days after the session. The gallery will contain at least 40+ proof images from the session and are available to purchase separately from the session fee.
Included from your session is a digital package of 10 images from your proof gallery selection. Additional Products may be purchased from the website or directly from the photographer.
Frequently Asked Questions
When should I book a newborn photographer?
Newborn sessions are best booked two months or more in advance for the best availability, planning, and custom experience. I may be able to fit a last-minute newborn session in during the week, so don't panic if you just found me. After booking the session, we wait... for baby to arrive and schedule around baby's arrival. Moms and Dads will keep in touch and notify me as soon as baby is here or induction is scheduled.
When are newborns photographed?
I recommend newborn sessions within the first 5-25 days of life. The newer, the better :) I know this is not possible in all circumstances and will of course accommodate for older newborns.
What if my baby is older than 2 weeks?
Do not be nervous if your baby is a month old and hasn't had newborn pictures taken. I am confident and skilled with working with older babies. In 25 years of photographing newborns I have NEVER turned away a baby because of their age. The main difference is the baby is stronger, moves around more, and is more alert. You'll simply have more images of baby with their eyes open.
Can I opt out of social media?
I respect your privacy and ONLY with your permission and a model release will I post to social media. Before your session, I send out a contract to every client to fill out online. There's an opt out part of the contract, please mention to me at the session. We can also discuss at booking.
Can we include family in the newborn pictures?
Yes! It is optional but parents and older siblings of the newborn baby are welcome at no additional cost to be photographed during the newborn session. I generally photograph family with baby and siblings with baby at the beginning of the session so that dad/significant other can leave with the older siblings when finished being photographed. The remainder of the session is just a quiet studio with baby.
What should my baby wear?
Your baby will have access to my studio newborn clothing collection. I have collected newborn clothing made specifically for newborn photography. Designed by vendors from around the world to fit a tiny newborn better than most off the rack clothes. So, unless there is something sentimental or an heirloom piece you want photographed, then you can bring baby in a snap down pajama.
Do you provide newborn props?
Yes, I have a collection of props in many sizes ranging to fit a 4 pound newborn to toddler size. Sometimes parents may bring something from their nursery or home to use as a prop. We can discuss any ideas you have during a phone consult.
What if my baby cries during the session?
Crying is expected... When a baby cries, it is their form of communication and baby is letting us know that they need something. If baby cries, then we pause and care for baby. Most of the time baby is letting me know they are ready to eat or needs to be wrapped. I have many calming techniques to soothe a fussy newborn. I schedule a newborn session for 3 hours because babies need frequent breaks to feed, diaper, and comfort. Before the session, I will consult by phone some helpful guidance to prepare for your session. There are some helpful tips and tricks I can recommend to create the best possible scenario for a successful newborn session.
